Skin Consultation

A consultation starts with a detailed medical and skin care history. Then, with the Profect Studio Photography System, skin defects can be assessed more clearly than ever before. The included Ultraviolet Digital Analysis System can then quickly and easily see the real impact of solar actinic damage. The consultant will take this data into consideration, along with other factors such as your age and hair color. Then and only then will we create an individualized treatment program for you. Fotofacial RF

FotoFacial RF Pro®treatments are full face, neck, hands or body treatments using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), and Radiofrequency (RF) energy combined in the same pulse. These gentle, no downtime treatments are used to improve the cosmetic appearance of the face, neck or body. Many other lasers and devices such as basic IPL Photorejuvenation or Intense Pulsed Light systems claim to deliver state-of-the-art photorejuvenation. Profractional Laser Resurfacing

Our newest laser. The Section Profractional Laser is a significant improvement over previous fractional laser treatments. The new laser is minimally ablative. Each procedure creates tiny channels that are delivered to a depth that is highly accurate and reproducible. The depth chosen is based on the condition, and can reach the levels needed to correct acne scars, wrinkles and texture issues. Acoustic Wave Therapy

AWT™ is a new treatment for smoothing the dimpling effect of teh skin. It works be delivering acoustic pulses to the treatment area. These acoustic pulses induce vibration in the connective tissue in the treatment area. The process ultimately leads to increased vascularization and the creation of a new, thickened brand of collagen in the upper and mid portions of the skin.The result of this treatment is restored elasticity in connective tissue, and noticeably smoother skin. Noticeable improvement typically occurs between the third and fourth treatment. Patients are typically treated twice per week for three weeks, with sessions requiring less than a half hour. Patients may wish to have a maintenance session once every three months after completing the program.

Acoustic wave therapy is the best technology available in the treatment of cellulite. Omnilux Light Therapy

  • Red Peel by Renophase
    Red Peel - Dr. Mahan was the first doctor to bring the new Red Peel to Houston. This was developed in France by Renophase, leaders in peel technology, to be used in combination with the Omnilux LED device. The Red peel is performed in four stages, and we recommend a series of four treatments - 2-4 weeks apart. This is the first time this peel has been brought to Houston, and can replace other peels such as the Obagi blue peel. In combination with the Omnilux LED device, which is also new to Kingwood, you will be getting the best of both peeling and photo-enhancing therapy.
    1. Hydragel Reticule- This is a complex bio-material that regulates cutaneous permeability, allowing better penetration.
    2. The Red peel. This is a neutralized glycolic acid-based peel which contains an intracellular anti-oxidant. This prevents intracellular free radial formation and damage. It contains 70% partially neutralized glyolic acid at pH 1.9 with DMEA and L-Carnitin.
    3. Skin Rejuvenation Lift Enhancer - This is another hydragel matrix that is soothing and stimulates regeneration of supportive matrices.
    4. Omnilux Revive - This involves exposure to the Omnilux LED device for 20 minutes. This produces a wavelength at 830 nanometers and reduces inflammation. Laser Therapy for Spider Veins

New technology in laser treatments can effectively treat spider veins in the legs. Laser surgery sends very strong bursts of light into the vein. This can make the vein slowly fade and disappear. Using a topical anesthetic or cryo-cooling make this procedure comfortable throughout. Lasers are very direct and accurate. Because of the variation in vessels more than one treatment may be necessary. Most skin types and colors can be safely treated with lasers.
